J. Christopher Ford Ph.d. > CEO

Dr. J. Chris Ford is an experienced serial entrepreneur, researcher, and expert in building inclusive innovation ecosystems and programs for intellectual property monetization for Federal agencies, universities, corporations, and investors.  Currently, Dr. Ford is Program Director, Research Faculty, and consultant on multiple Federal grants and contracts for Florida International University, University of Houston, and private businesses. From 2012-2017, Dr. Ford was Technical and Technology Transfer Advisor to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). Key results were analysis and valuation of DOE’s patent portfolio for novel monetization strategy (i.e. 20,000 patents with a present value of $77 billion); Assessed and aided more than 40 ventures for technology transfer and commercialization projects for DOE ranging from cybersecurity & information technology, renewable energy, energy storage, oil & gas, and biotech firms;  Led the design and implementation of DOE’s Lab-to-Market initiative; and served on President Obama’s Executive 2nd Term committee for Economic Development.

Nathan Yates, Esq. > Managing Director

Nathan is a Vanderbilt trained JD/MBA who started his career in NYC-based law firms, specializing in public M&A, PE transactions, and complex debt financing. Nathan then pivoted to the business side, and has spent much of the last decade forming, scaling, and supporting small and early stage businesses across a variety of industries.

Nathan specializes in transaction management, driving growth, identifying and implementing business best practices and fundraising.

Joseph Gomez > Managing Director

Joseph Gomez is an experienced entrepreneur within multiple verticals who got his start in the health & wellness and franchising industry. Throughout his time as the Franchise Development Director for a national retailer, Gomez oversaw Training, Operations and CRE development for over 200+ locations. Mr. Gomez has an extensive experience in venture development, capital stack structuring and project financing. Joseph specializes in identifying opportunities to develop and create innovative real estate in various asset classes, building scalable business models, fundraising and real estate development.

Joseph attended Peru State College on a basketball scholarship, studying Business Management & Finance.


Matthew Winslow > Managing Director

Matthew Winslow is an experienced financial professional, entrepreneur, and veteran of the U.S. Navy.  Currently, Matthew is a sought-after management consultant specializing in financial and business model development, capital, and marketing and sales for companies in a multitude of industries including energy, healthcare, and consumer products.  Born and raised in Imlay City, Michigan, Matthew began his career serving in the U.S. Navy during the Persian Gulf War. For his distinguished service, Matthew was awarded the Navy Commendation Medal for Heroism and was honorably discharged.  After studying finance at the University of Michigan and receiving a Series 7, 24, & 65 licenses, Matthew spent 15 years in money management. Mr. Winslow oversaw more than a billion dollars in transactions as a Chief Investment Officer.  Leveraging his financial and business acumen, Matthew co-founded and served as Chief Executive Officer of Synergy Coal. Within 5 years, Matthew sold Synergy Coal for 500% return on investment.
